Hmm… it’s actually kind of hard to say “Dad.”
I’ve probably said that word five times in this life time.
You tried to contact me a couple of years ago
but I didn’t know how to receive you.
I hope we’ll connect again one day
and hold hands like we used to.
You’re still my father…
So I’m called to love, honor, respect, and forgive regardless.
Nevertheless, I’m doing fine now…
I pray your new family is happy now...
I pray you are a man of God now.
Thank you for being a man after God’s heart while protecting mine.
Thank you for diving deep into conversations about life and scriptures.
Sharing memories over brunch while sipping mimosas in the Aruba sun
-which kisses us both simultaneously.
Where we embrace each other lovingly.
Thank you for raising our children in the way of the Lord.
They don’t know it yet but
they will forever be grateful…
I am forever grateful.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Being wrapped in your arms when my heart grew cold on Nov 8, 2015
was the sweetest love I have ever felt!
That is when I met you…You met me...
You found me…You chased me…
-down to the other side of town,
where he left me.
You left the 99 and I was the one.
I rose from the dead and you brought me back to life again.
You called me friend and your child again.
Spending the rest of my life with you is a time I will never forget.
The great part is…
An eternity with you means I will never have to remember…
This Father’s day I’m acknowledging the important men in my past, present, and future.
Happy Father’s day to all and God bless.
Until Next Time,
